I love all of the Finish products, but I really like how easily these dissolve in my machine. The orange scent is overpowering in the container,  but is barely noticeable in the machine.

Dissolves well

I love the ease of using these.  \n\nPros:\n*  No hassle with opening slippery wrappers.\n*   No hassle with chasing down the little ball that always breaks off the big hard blocks.\n*  Always fits into the dishwasher door easily.  You don't have to position it just so.\n*  They fully dissolve, with no residue left on my dishes, or in the dishwasher door.\n*   Price is better than other brands, and my dishes always come out clean, so Ii'm happy.\n\nCons:\n*   You have to be careful not to get them wet, so use dry hands to get one out of the bag.\n*   If you do get them wet, they stick together, and it gets messy to separate them.\n*   Hard to find.  Finish is easy to get in the hard blocks, with a wrapper, but these gel packs are getting harder and harder to come by. \n\nOverall, these are the best dishwasher soap option I've ever tried.  I love them, and always by more than one box when I see them on the shelf.  I only ever got one wet, and it dutifully stuck to it's neighbor in the bag, but once you make that mistake, you learn not to wet them.  Problem solved.  : )\n\n\n\n\n

Best dishwasher soap option I've ever tried.

Switched to Finish years ago at the advice of a store associate when I asked why my silverware got dark spots. She recommended Finish for its less harsh properties and the Orange pods are the best of all. I always store them in a waterproof container under the sink. Also, best washing results are with use of heated water

Orange tabs for me

My preferred soap for dishwasher. We've been in various rentals where dishwasher isn't top end. When using powder tabs, I'd find powder residue and granules still stuck on bottoms of cups and in small crevices of baby items. These gel tabs resolve that issue.

My husband does not rinse dishes prior to placing in a dishwasher no matter how caked.  He is also low vision, so the detergent has to work, or he may not see the dirty before placing in the cabinet.  This detergent has been the most effective for cleaning our dishes effectively every time.

Finish Dishwasher Detergent

We have been using Finish dishwasher soap for about 8 years. When reordering, the standard Finish was out of stock, I only buy the largest container as I like the plastic tub. 

I read the reviews of the Orange Finish dishwasher soap and saw that some people complained about the “greasy” feeling on the dishes and read the responses form the manufacturer which repeatedly gave an operating temperature minimum for the dishwasher, intimating that that would remedy the problem. 

On the first load, the ceramic ramekins and the glasses had a slip on the outside of the glasses which I imagine is what some people where calling greasy. Slip is soap, not grease. Slip happens when the water is not hot enough to remove the soap or that the water did not run long enough to remove the soap. 

My husband usually runs the dishwasher, so this was my first time in running this dishwasher.,  I saw 2:42:00 as the time for the dishwasher to run. I thought nearly 3 hours was excessive so  I turned off one of processes. Sorry I forgot which one. This one change knocked the time to about 2 hours instead. I kept the steam as I felt sanitation is one reasons for buying a dishwasher. It was this first load that I felt the slip on the outside of the glasses and ceramic ramekins. 

On the second load I did not remove anything and let the dishwasher run its 2:42:00 time. From the second load, there was no slip on anything. As a rule, my husband always ran the dishwasher with the automatic selection which means that all of the options were selected. So, comparing apples to apples, the Orange Finish works the same as the standard Finish when the automatic option is selected. 

I gave this four stars because there was no discernible orange scent, not even from the open container in the cabinet with the Orange pods exposed, so why color them orange?

Do not buy! it does not get the dished clean, even when pre-rinsing in the sink. dushes are still greasy when cycle is complete.  I have used many products over the years? and thus one is by far the worst!

These dishwasher tablets were horrible. Let a slimy, greasy film on the washed dishes. Also, they didn't get the dishes washed very well. Took 3 or more times to get things cleaned. Will never buy these again. Horrible product, didn't work, and cheap. I was trying to save some money, but didn't when I'd have to wash the dishes 2or 3 times to get what it missed.

What is going on with the pricing of this product?? I originally began purchasing these because of the value and price.  A box of 84 pacs was $15.44 in Nov. 2023 (my last order)- I tried to order them again today (Feb 2024) and they have jumped to $33.00 for an 84 pac . .more than double the price in a few months . . that's a game changer and extremely disappointing - consumer price gouging.  I have no choice but to look for another product.
